Created in Cologne in the 1960s by architect and designer Werner Stoff for Hans Nagel, the iconic candle holder traces its distinctive form to an impression made in snow. After a fall during a skiing trip in the Alps, Nagel noticed the symmetrical marks left by three fingers. Stoff transformed this idea into the ingenious three-legged, stackable system that allows individual pieces to become larger sculptural compositions.

The Black edition gives the celebrated design a bold contemporary expression while retaining its instantly recognisable form.
