Tartan
Description
Intricately patterned and richly textured, the Tartan Suspension Lamp by Ludovica Serafini & Roberto Palomba for Foscarini draws inspiration from the woven geometry of traditional Scottish tartan. Its mouth-blown and acid-etched glass diffuser features sculpted lines and folds that interact beautifully with light and shadow, creating a warm diffused glow alongside focused downward illumination.
The etched glass surface gives the lamp a soft, fabric-like appearance while preserving the clarity and refinement of hand-blown glass craftsmanship. Its open lower section directs practical light downward, making it especially suitable above dining tables, in hallways, or within interiors where ambient atmosphere and functional illumination are equally important.
Made in Italy, the Tartan Suspension Lamp combines artisanal glassmaking with thoughtful contemporary design, bringing texture, warmth, and sculptural elegance into modern interiors.
