Black Owlet

Description

Black Owlet is a handcrafted black crystal sculpture from the Safari Sculptures series by Maleras, designed by Mats Jonasson. Mouth-blown and sandblasted by hand in Sweden, the sculpture captures the rounded form and alert expression of a young owl in a refined sculptural interpretation.

The softly textured surface of the sandblasted black crystal gives the piece a distinctive frosted appearance, while its carefully defined eyes and compact proportions bring character and presence to the sculpture. Signed on the bottom, Black Owlet showcases the meticulous hand craftsmanship behind Maleras crystal art.

Its smaller, rounded form makes Black Owlet a versatile decorative object for a console, sideboard, bookshelf, study or other prominent surface. Display it independently as a characterful crystal sculpture or pair it with Black Owl from the same Safari Sculptures series to create a complementary owl pair.
