Fluence Orange Red Big Glass Sculpture

Fluence Orange Red Big by Verre Design is a contemporary French glass sculpture that captures the movement of molten glass within a vibrant, elongated form set into volcanic rock.

Part of the Fluence collection by designer Jonathan Ausseresse, the sculpture explores the movement of glass at high temperature. Using a specialised process, the artist draws and graphically transcribes the flow of molten glass within the material itself, preserving the trajectory of its transformation. Once cooled, the glass captures this slow movement as a frozen wave, revealing depth, rhythm and changing layers of colour.

The smooth, glossy glass rises from a base of raw volcanic rock sourced from the Auvergne region of France. The contrast between the refined surface of the glass and the rough, porous texture of the stone creates a striking dialogue between two materials that have both existed in a molten state. The tall vertical form makes Fluence Orange Red Big a distinctive statement sculpture for a console, pedestal, sideboard or other prominent display setting.

Verre Design is a French glass art studio founded by contemporary glass artist Jonathan Ausseresse. His practice explores the depth, colour and movement of glass through fusion, enamelling and thermoforming, creating contemporary sculptural works for interiors.

Growing up in his father's glass workshop and later training at the École Nationale du Verre, Jonathan Ausseresse developed a deep understanding of glass, firing and enamelling. His sculptures combine layered glass, rich colour and volcanic rock, reflecting his interest in melting, pressure and geological transformation.
