Description

Fluence Orange Red Small by Verre Design is a contemporary French glass sculpture that captures the movement of molten glass within a vibrant, organic form set into volcanic rock.

Part of the Fluence collection by designer Jonathan Ausseresse, the sculpture explores the movement of glass at high temperature. Using a specialised process, the artist draws and graphically transcribes the flow of molten glass within the material itself, preserving the trajectory of its transformation. The cooled glass captures this movement as a frozen wave, revealing layers, rhythm and depth within the luminous surface.

The smooth, glossy glass contrasts with the raw, rough texture of volcanic rock sourced from the Auvergne region of France. This meeting of glass and stone reflects the artist’s exploration of materials that have both experienced transformation through heat, creating a sculptural object that brings movement and geological character into the interior. Its more compact scale makes Fluence Orange Red Small ideal for consoles, shelves, side tables and curated display arrangements.

About Verre Design

Verre Design is a French glass art studio founded by contemporary glass artist Jonathan Ausseresse. Growing up in his father's glass workshop, Ausseresse developed an early understanding of glass, enamelling and firing before studying applied arts and training at the École Nationale du Verre. His practice explores the depth, colour and movement created through glass fusion, enamelling and thermoforming.

Jonathan Ausseresse's sculptures bring together layered glass, rich colour and volcanic rock, reflecting his fascination with natural forces such as melting, pressure and geological transformation.
