The Seer Calcedonio

The Seer by Zanetti is a Murano glass sculpture in rare Calcedonio, created as a striking statement piece for luxury interiors.

Mysterious and visionary, The Seer captures the spirit of foresight and wisdom through the artistry of Murano glass. Hand-blown in Italy by a master Murano artist, it is created using the rare Calcedonio technique, with mesmerising patterns of colour flowing through the glass. The elongated features and elevated gaze give the sculpture a distinctive sense of presence, while the unpredictable patterning ensures that every piece is unique.

Inspired by the famous moai of Rapa Nui, these sculptures reinterpret the monumental human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people between 1250 and 1500 CE. Known for their distinctive elongated features and imposing presence, the original moai are monolithic stone figures that represent an enduring legacy of Rapa Nui culture and craftsmanship.

Zanetti Murano is an Italian glass studio from Murano, Venice, with four generations of glassmaking heritage dating back to 1956. Maestro Oscar Zanetti was born into this tradition and began working with glass at 14, later refining his craft at renowned Murano ateliers including Venini and La Murrina before joining the family workshop.

Inspired by his enduring interest in the natural world, Oscar Zanetti creates handcrafted Murano glass sculptures drawn from the flora and fauna of the Venetian Lagoon. From horses and birds to fish, animals and abstract forms, each piece is shaped by hand using traditional blown and solid glass techniques. In India, Zanetti Murano was launched by Spacio, bringing Oscar Zanetti's distinctive glass artistry to Indian interiors.
