Horse Rearing Calcedonio Crystal Medium

Horse Rearing Calcedonio Crystal Medium

Description

Strength, energy, and grace come alive in this rearing horse, hand-crafted in Italy by a Murano master artist. Using the ancient Calcedonio technique, the crystal glass swirls with natural mineral pigments, creating mesmerising veins of colour that are never repeated-each sculpture is entirely unique. The horse rises on its hind legs, symbolising freedom and vitality, while the clarity of the crystal adds a timeless elegance.

This Zanetti Murano glass horse is more than a decorative piece-it is a collector's treasure that reflects the soul of Venetian craftsmanship. Perfect as a centrepiece in living spaces, offices, or as part of a private collection, it brings Italian artistry and mythical beauty into Indian homes.

About Zanetti

Zanetti Murano is an Italian glass studio from Murano, Venice, with four generations of glassmaking heritage dating back to 1956. Maestro Oscar Zanetti was born into this tradition and began working with glass at 14, later refining his craft at renowned Murano ateliers including Venini and La Murrina before joining the family workshop.

Inspired by his enduring interest in the natural world, Oscar Zanetti creates handcrafted Murano glass sculptures drawn from the flora and fauna of the Venetian Lagoon. From horses and birds to fish, animals and abstract forms, each piece is shaped by hand using traditional blown and solid glass techniques. In India, Zanetti Murano was launched by Spacio, bringing Oscar Zanetti's distinctive glass artistry to Indian interiors.
